Dr. Sandie Wood, DVM, CHPV, CPEV
Veterinarian, Owner
HelloDr. Sandie Wood was born and raised on a beef and dairy farm in rural Oklahoma, where her love for animals began at an early age. She graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016. After briefly practicing in Michigan, she returned to the region she had come to love while growing up in Northeast Oklahoma, and now calls Northwest Arkansas home.
Dr. Wood is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care, particularly for senior pets and those facing chronic or terminal illnesses. She is Fear Free Certified and holds advanced credentials in animal hospice and palliative care (Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian through the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care) and pet euthanasia (Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian through the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy). She has also completed specialized training in pet-loss grief support as a Certified Pet-Loss Grief Recovery Specialist. She is currently pursuing additional certifications in veterinary acupuncture, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care through Chi University and Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
Outside of work, Dr. Wood enjoys life on her mini-farm with her husband, Jonathan, and their daughter, Willow. Their little homestead includes goats, ducks, chickens, and a lively collection of rescue dogs and cats. A self-proclaimed closet nerd, she enjoys anime, Dungeons & Dragons, and board games as well as gardening, crochet, and watercolor. She is also known to break into song in the car—and occasionally just about anywhere!
